People in the fitness industry know that February is always a very quiet time, this is because everybody makes a New Year resolution to get fit, joins the gym works out a few times then slings the whole thing in a few weeks later. Permanent lifestyle changes must be made gradually if they are to last. I know much of the rest will sound like the pat advice you’ve read (and probably ignored) a thousand times before, but don’t. I told you their were no magic bullets so don’t hang around hoping, waiting and searching for a way to reduce your blood pressure without working at it, it isn’t going to’ happen. As someone once said the best treatment for cardiovasculat fitness is sweat. Now are you ready to get up out of your chair and do something. You don’t need to have written plan or routine to begin an exercise program just the commitment to gradually, permanently increase your level of physical activity at your own pace. Speaking from my own experience I can see know the rut I had worn myself into, working at a desk bound job If you’re lucky to have a job where you’re up and down and moving about then well, otherwise you’re going to have to get yourself moving up and down and about. Make it fun, make it part of your routine – but please JDI – Just Do It!
